The ACEO Collector is just that, a collector! One who may commission or buy cards from others, make their own, and overall collect them!

I would love to discover who collects ACEOs and their demographics.
:iconohduh1:
Are the majority of collectors male or female?
How many are 19-25 yr olds?
How many are 26-35 yr olds?
How many collectors are 36-45 yrs old?
How many are 45 yrs and up?
How many collectors are homeowners, and how many are renters? (Hints of the socio-economic level of collectors.)
How many ACEO collectors have children in the home? Children under 12 or teenagers?
What other interests do ACEO collectors have?
How many ACEO collectors are also artists?
How many ACEOs do they buy in a year on average?
What is the average price they'll pay for an ACEO?
What is the highest price they've ever paid for an ACEO?
:iconohduh1:
Why do they collect ACEOs?
1. They collect the work of certain artists.
2. They collect certain medium, ie., watercolor, pencil, oil paints, etc.
3. They collect certain subjects or topics, ie. animals, beach, etc.
4. They collect based on charity contribution of ACEO sale.
5. Other. (Please Explain)

I'm just curious. Every business person will tell you, "know your customer". But so far, no artist I've asked seems to know their average ACEO customer. If artists want to be successful at selling their art, Shouldn't that change?

After all, how many artists really have the funds or interest in collecting other people's art when they can make their own ACEOs? Shouldn't advertisement dollars go to getting the message in front of art lovers instead of JUST other artists (a subset of art lovers)?

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe ACEO collectors ARE all artists themselves. But it would be nice to know the facts. Opinions based on hunches are not the basis of a solid business plan.
